Size & Format Guide
Not sure which size fits your space? Here's how to decide.
Your wall isn't the same as your neighbor's wall. Your desk setup isn't the same as the one you saw on Instagram. So sizing isn't about rules. It's about understanding scale, viewing distance, and how much presence you want a print to have in your space.
We make five sizes. Each works for different spaces and intentions. Here's how they compare.
How Big is Big?
Screens lie. A print that looks large online can feel small on a wall. Seeing artwork in relation to the human body helps put scale into perspective. Below you can compare each available size next to an average person.
What Size Fits Your Space?
How to Choose the Right Size
-
Step 1: Measure the wall, not the artwork
Your Piece should typically fill 60–75% of the available wall width. Measure the space first, then choose a size that creates balance rather than leaving excess empty space.
-
Step 2: Decide if the artwork supports or leads
If the piece is an accent, a smaller format works. If it should define the room or sit above a sofa or bed, choose a larger size than you initially consider.
-
Step 3: Consider viewing distance
The further away you stand, the larger the artwork needs to be to feel present. If you are between two sizes, the larger format is usually the more considered choice.
How to Choose the Right Print Format
Each format creates a different presence. There is no better or worse, only different intentions.
Still Unsure?
If you’re deciding between sizes or formats, imagine the piece in your space for a moment. Should it quietly support the room, or confidently define it?
When in doubt, the more considered choice is often the larger or framed option, offering balance, protection, and long-term presence.
